New True 4K Products From Chrisite

Bright Lights Trading is the Christie Dealer for Oman and our General Manager, Mr Brent Davenport, visited their stand at ISE 2014 in Amsterdam.

Christie Digital Systems USA, Inc. is a global visual technologies company and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ushio Inc. Japan (JP:6925). Consistently setting the standards by being the first to market some of the world’s most advanced projectors and complete system displays, Christie is recognised as one of the most innovative visual technology companies in the world. From retail displays to Hollywood, mission critical command centres to classrooms and training simulators, Christie display solutions and projectors capture the attention of audiences around the world with dynamic and stunning images.

Christie’s introduced a number of exciting new products at the exhibition and all received much attention and favourable comments.

Among the new or extended technologies Christie presented were examples of ‘True 4K™’ native resolution projectors; Christie Brio presentation system for spontaneous team collaboration; the Q Series 1-chip, dual lamp DLP® projectors, along with extensions to the G single-lamp projector Series; the Entero™ HB front access cube for control rooms; Phoenix™ open content management system (launched to great acclaim at last year’s ISE Show) which allows users to access and control information across multiple platforms and from virtually any location; MicroTiles® and Interactivity Kit, as well as new tiled flat panels, which were also revealed at the show.

Large-scale video mapping, in which Christie excels, provided the eye candy and drew visitors onto the stand but, in a major departure from their core technology, Christie also provided ‘ear food’ with the launch of Christie Vive Audio™. Sensing a growing requirement for immersive 3D audio formats to match the immersive visual experience, Vive Audio has further unlocked the potential of the DCI digital cinema audio format.

Christie continues to set the standard in digital cinema production with Christie True 4K solutions. Based on Texas Instruments’ advanced Series 2 DLP Cinema® technology, Christie True 4K cinema projectors produce the brilliant, high resolution visuals which are perfect for the accurate reproduction of today’s 4K content, and offer the richest and most stunning cinematic experiences. At the same time, for post-production studios seeking to produce cutting-edge finishing services, Christie True 4K cinema solutions are unmatched.

Christie Brio makes it effortless to meet, share information and work together across multiple sites while automatically coordinating up to five simultaneous video and audio presentations on meeting room displays. Geographic distance is no limit for Christie Brio as presentations and high quality media are shared between sites quickly and easily so that team collaboration has never been easier.
Brio allows the user to connect and present virtually, collaborate in real-time, display high-quality uncompressed 1080p video sources (within a meeting room or stream video between sites at up to 30 fps) and keep information secure, as no personal device information or content is loaded or saved on a Christie Brio node.

The upgraded Christie G Series boasts 6,000 lumens and a single-lamp design. It is the brightest in its category and provides the exceptional image quality, brightness and dependability that is essential for presentations in board and conference rooms. Each upgraded Christie G Series projector is also equipped with a six-segment colour wheel for the widest possible colour range and more natural, vibrant images. The Christie G Series delivers a cost effective solution combined with long-life DLP® technology.

Christie’s show-debuting 1-chip DLP® Q Series offers brightness options ranging from 8,500 to 10,000 lumens and XGA, WXGA and WUXGA resolutions. Rental staging customers will notice the Q Series’ difference when blending and warping images from multiple projectors onto flat, curved, hexagonal, or spherical surfaces. Usable in either single or dual-lamp mode, Christie Q Series is equipped with eClarity™ an advanced image processing that significantly enhances images by providing greater image control.

Last year Christie launched the FHD551-XG 55-inch tiled LCD flat panel, with ultra-narrow bezels and bonded Corning® Gorilla® Glass, later adding the FHD461-X (a 46-inch version) and the FHD551-W, a weatherproofed model. This series has since grown exponentially, responding to market demand with 65-inch and 84-inch versions. The latest QuadHD84 is a stunning 60Hz, 84-inch LCD panel featuring Quad HD resolution (3840 x 2160). Easy-to-use and affordable, the QuadHD84 is a highly professional visualisation display solution.

Christie’s Entero™ HB Front Access DLP® LED-based Display Wall Cube enables seamless high performance rear projection video wall displays with minimal installation and maintenance space required. The benefits of Christie’s brightest technology display are available in a platform that allows cubes to be positioned against a rear wall, removing the need for maintenance space behind. The first front-access mode, the Entero HB 70-inch HD, will be joined by other front-access models including 50-inch and 70-inch SXGA+ and 72-inch WUXGA.

Vive Audio is a complete audio solution that combines the superior audio qualities of ribbon driver technology with the proven high quality performance of a line array speaker design which is matched with powerful Class D amplification.

These screen channel speakers can be combined with Christie subwoofers to create a 3-way, bi-amplified, full range speaker/sub system, ideal as a screen channel, while the Christie CDA Class D amplifiers offer a range of power options to meet a variety of uses.
